Code of Conduct
1. Information Submitted
You are solely responsible for, and assume all liability regarding the information and content you contribute to / share with the Company and with the Users, and regarding your interactions with the Company and the Users.
2. No False Information
You will not provide inaccurate or false information to the Company or the Users.
Optimal Behavior: Information you share with the Company or the Users are true and you refer to information sources.
Acceptable Behavior: You believe the information you share is true and you clearly state you cannot provide sources.
Unacceptable Behavior: You share information knowing they are false or inaccurate. You mention fake sources. You don’t state clearly that you cannot provide sources in case you believe the information is true.
3. Reporting of Violations
You will promptly report to the Company any violation of the Terms and Conditions / Code of Conduct by others (the Users).
Optimal Behavior: You are aware or witnessed a violation and you report it to a C3 representative.
Acceptable Behavior: You are aware of a violation, but you haven’t reported yet because you couldn’t verify if true.
Unacceptable Behavior: You witnessed a violation and you haven’t reported it to the Company.
4. Continued Use
If you complete a Company’s engagement, you agree not to engage with the same User in subsequent volunteering or commercial activities without first making a best effort to engage in an engagement through the Company and (if unsuccessful) without Company’s prior written consent.
Optimal Behavior: Once you complete an engagement you re-engage with the Company for additional support you need / you can provide. You don’t engage with the same User without Company’s written consent.
Acceptable Behavior: Once you complete an engagement you express to the Company your interest to re-engage with the same user. If Company approves you make sure you re-engage on further activities within the scope of the Company services (if applicable).
Unacceptable Behavior: Once you complete an engagement you re-engage with the same User without informing the Company and obtaining its prior written consent.
5. No Advertising or Commercial Solicitation
You agree not to advertise or solicit any User to buy or sell any products or services through the Company and / or the Users without the Company’s prior written consent. You agree not to use any information obtained from the Company and / or the Users in order to contact, advertise to, solicit, make offers to, or sell to any User without their prior written consent.
Optimal Behavior: You don’t advertise or solicit to buy or sell your products / services in any interaction with the Company and / or the Users, unless you obtained Company’s prior written consent. You don’t use any information / contact obtained through the Company or the Users to advertise or solicit to buy or sell your products / services in any circumstances, unless you obtained Company’s prior written consent.
Acceptable Behavior: Through the Company and / or the Users and its activities / services (e.g. while volunteering, receiving support or simply networking) one or more Users show their interest in buying or selling your products / services or engaging in any other commercial activities with you: you inform the Company and obtain its written consent before agreeing on and / or engaging in any selling, buying or any other commercial activity.
Unacceptable Behavior: You advertise or solicit any User to buy or sell any products / services through the Company and its activities / services (e.g. while volunteering, receiving support or simply networking). You agree to sell, buy or to do any other commercial activity with the Users, without informing the Company and obtaining its prior written consent.
6. No Investment or Donation Solicitation
You agree not to offer and / or solicit any User to invest or donate any cash, equity amount or any other valuable asset through the Company and / or the Users without Company’s prior written consent. You agree not to use any information obtained from the Company and / or the Users in order to offer and / or solicit any User to invest or donate any cash, equity amount or any other valuable asset through the Company and / or the Users without Company’s prior written consent.
Optimal Behavior: You don’t offer and / or solicit any User to invest or donate any cash, equity amount or any other valuable asset in any interaction with the Company and / or the Users, unless you obtained Company’s prior written consent. You don’t use any information / contact obtained through the Company or the Users to offer and / or solicit any User to invest or donate any cash, equity amount or any other valuable asset in any circumstances, unless you obtained Company’s prior written consent.
Acceptable Behavior: Through the Company and / or the Users and its activities / services (e.g. while volunteering, receiving support or simply networking) one or more Users show their interest in investing / donating or receiving investment / donations of any cash, equity amount or any other valuable asset: you inform the Company and obtain its written consent before agreeing on and / or engaging in any investing / donating or any other activity involving valuable assets exchange.
Unacceptable Behavior: You offer and / or solicit any User to invest or donate any cash, equity amount or any other valuable asset through the Company and / or the Users and its activities / services (e.g. while volunteering, receiving support or simply networking). You agree to invest / donate or receive investment / donations of any cash, equity amount or any other valuable asset with the Users, without informing the Company and obtaining its prior written consent.
7. Best Effort
You commit to provide and / or receive the Company’s services in the best of your capacity, knowledge and effort. You will show your commitment and engagement to produce the best results as per the guidelines and requirements of the Company.
Optimal Behavior: You meet expectations of the Company and Users and you achieve objectives of its services and activities as per the agreed scope and timing.
Acceptable Behavior: You try to meet expectations of the Company and Users and to achieve objectives of its services and activities as per the agreed scope and timing as per your best effort and capacity. If you don’t succeed, you inform the Company of your constraints / limitations in order to get support in finding remedies.
Unacceptable Behavior: Your and / or the Users’ lack of effort and capacity compromise the end result of the Company’s services / activities and you don’t inform the Company of your constraints or limitations when remedies are still applicable.
8. Communication with the Company
Before the start of the provision of the service, the Expert and the Client shall agree on (i) the services (project / workshop / engagement) title; (ii) the number of sessions that will be provided and the estimated frequency of the relevant sessions; the Expert shall send to the Company details on the above and (iii) any other useful information required to allow the Company to keep record of the activity undertaken by the Expert in favor of the relevant Client.
Optimal Behavior: You discuss services topic, scope and plan and communicate to the Company the required information in advance to the start of the service provision.
Acceptable Behavior: You communicate the required information to the Company prior to the start of the service provision.
Unacceptable Behavior: You communicate the required information to the Company after the start of the provision of the service or don’t communicate them at all.
9. Review Form
Upon completion of an engagement, you agree to complete Company’s engagement review form accurately and to the best of your ability.
Optimal Behavior: You complete review and update the Company by the 7th day from completion of the engagement.
Acceptable Behavior: You complete review and update the Company by the 14th day from completion of the engagement.
Unacceptable Behavior: You complete review and update the Company after 14 days from completion of the engagement, complete it inaccurately or don’t complete it at all.
10a. Respect of People’s Time
You will respect Company’s representatives and Users’ time.
Optimal Behavior: You never cancel / postpone a meeting unless a ‘force majeure’ event happens.
Acceptable Behavior: You cancel / postpone a meeting with 48-hour notice, making sure the other User received the message. You don’t postpone more than twice the same meeting.
Unacceptable behavior: You cancel / postpone a meeting with a less-than-48-hour notice. You don’t show up (no notice sent). You postpone more than twice.
10b. Respect of People’s Privacy
You will respect Company’s representatives and Users’ privacy.
Optimal Behavior: You communicate with the Company representatives and / or the Users via their preferred channel (email, phone or other) and with their preferred frequency. You don’t post content on social media regarding the Company representatives and / or the Users without obtaining their prior consent. You don’t share Company representatives and / or Users contact details with anyone unless you obtained their prior consent.
Acceptable Behavior: If no preference is specified by the Company and / or the Users, you contact them by email not more than twice on the same subject. You post content on social media that include (are not the main) subjects / topics regarding Company representatives and / or Users.
Unacceptable Behavior: If not expressed as the preferred / allowed mean, you contact Company representatives and / or Users on their phone. You contact them more than twice by email on the same subject / related subjects. You post content on social media regarding Company representatives and / or Users without obtaining their prior consent.
11. Restrictions
You will not use the Company’s and / or Users’ services in a manner that:
violates or infringes the rights of Company, other users, or any other party, including patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights;
promotes racism, bigotry, hatred, or harm of any kind against any group or individual;
is intended to, may, or does harass, annoy, threaten, harm, or intimidate any Company representatives and / or Users;
reproduces, duplicates, copies, sells, resells, or exploits any portion of the Company’ s written, visual or oral materials, included digital ones;
is defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, obscene, profane, offensive, tortuous, or otherwise objectionable;
violates any local, national, or international law or regulation;
promotes illegal or unlawful activities;
may defraud or deceive others;
collects, stores, or disseminates personal information about any Company representatives or User or third party without his/her permission;
uses scripts, bots, or other automated technology to access the Company website and / or database;
interferes with or disrupts the Company website or services or servers, computers, or networks connected to the Company website or services;
uses the Company website or services for chain letter, junk mail, or spam email; or
frames the Company website, places pop-up windows over the Company website, or affects the display of its pages without Company’s prior written consent.
