Dubai, 11th of April, 2016 – Responding to the United Nations international appeal for the Sustainable Development Goals, the Dubai-based social enterprise C3 – Consult and Coach for a Cause is hosting an interactive workshop dedicated to this topic. In collaboration with AstroLabs, Young Arab Leaders and the platform Social Tent, C3 is inviting all businesses with social concerns to join the session on “How can your business contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals”, on the 26th of April. In September 2015, the United Nations (UN) Member States adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to be achieved by 2030.

The agenda provides a successor framework to the previous Millennium Development Goals, with a view to ending poverty in all forms and dimensions, protecting the planet, and ensuring prosperity for all. Given their global scope and ambition, the SDGs will not be met without collaboration among all stakeholders – government, private sector, development partners, civil society and communities – incorporating the goals into their activities and engaging in collaborative partnerships. As a social enterprise, C3 took the initiative to host a workshop on how to solve the UN Millennium Development Goals with social enterprise ideas and theories of change. The event, is dedicated to all businesses that are interested in giving their contribution to the causes defended by the UN.

Sami Khoury, Founder of at Social Tent (www.socialtent.org) – a platform that connects talent to organizations making social, environmental, and cultural progress in the Arab World – will address the topic of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Medea Nocentini is the Co-Founder of at C3 – Consult and Coach for a Cause (a social enterprise matching emerging social entrepreneurs with experts willing to share their knowledge on a voluntary basis). She will lead attendees on “How to develop a theory of change (ToC)”. During the session, participants will be challenged to present their own ideas.
